Patagonia Halts All Operations Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Outbreak
Closing all of its stores and shutting down its website, but will continue to pay employees.

As the fashion industry continues to respond to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Patagonia has now announced plans to shut down all of its operations.
In a message posted on the brand’s website, Patagonia CEO Rose Marcario notes that it will be closing all of its stores and stop taking orders online.
“As COVID-19 spreads — and is now officially a pandemic — we are taking additional safety measures to protect our employees and customers,” Marcario said. “The scale of impact is still unknown, and we want to do our part to protect our community especially while testing availability is unknown.”
Marcario ensures that the company will continue to pay employees throughout the closure and will continually “reassess and post an update.”
