Hermès Revisits its Arceau With a Smoked Dial and Skeletonized Design
Bringing a modern touch to a ’70s timepiece.

French luxury fashion house Hermès has brought a stunning update to one of its most iconic watch models with a history that dates back to 1978: the Arceau.
Specifically called the Arceau Squelette, the timepiece achieves the perfect balance of classic elegance and contemporary design by retaining the reference’s most beloved qualities and marrying them with an innovative, detail-oriented update. Everything from the rotating numeral indices to the sleek lithe hands and the clean 40mm stainless steel case have been kept, only now complemented by an all-new gradient-shaded smokey sapphire dial which offers its wearer a glimpse into the newly-designed skeletonized heart of the watch: the Sellita SW300 Skeleton automatic calibre (exclusive to Hermès), carrying a 42-hour power reserve and operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Finally, completing the whole set is a luxury leather strap from Hermès, offered in various colors of your choice.
For those interested, the new Hermès Arceau Squelette is now available at select Hermès stores and its website, retailing for $8,600 USD.
