Samsung Introduces the Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra

Samsung is redefining the world of mobile with the Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra. Introduced during the company’s biannual Galaxy UNPACKED event, the latest series offers an innovative phone camera experience on top of revolutionary 5G technology, matched with top-notch Samsung Knox security, extensive battery life, a powerful processor and massive storage.

Crafted in a number of screen sizes, the Galaxy S20 arrives in 6.2 inches, the Galaxy S20+ in 6.7 inches and the Galaxy S20 Ultra in 6.9 inches, along with the various colorway options of Cloud Blue, Cosmic Gray, Cosmic Black or Cloud Pink.

While all three models possess DepthVision cameras with 12MP wide-angle cameras in the back, there are still significant differences between the S20 and S20+ compared to the S20 Ultra. The first two utilize a 10MP front camera, a 12MP wide-angle camera and a 64MP telephoto camera, while the S20 Ultra makes use of a 40MP front camera, an imposing 108MP wide-angle camera, and a 48MP telephoto camera. The S20 Ultra’s 10x Hyper Optic Zoom and maximized 100x Super Resolution Zoom are also further advancements to the S20 and S20+’s 3x Hyper Optic Zoom and 30x Super Resolution Zoom.

The differences in photo-taking capabilities aside, all three smartphones feature 8K Video technology that can keep the moving images’ super-sharp resolution even at the size of a cinema screen. The 8K Video Snap also provides users with the choice to pull 33MP stills right out of their 8K videos, while its AI Single Take option allows users to take one shot and transform it into multiple formats. Meanwhile, its larger image sensor and anti-rolling stabilizer heavily counters camera movement, stabilizing video footage similar to an action camera. To top it off, users will be able to take evening timelapse videos with the new Night Hyperlapse feature, along with manually adjusting the ISO, shutter speed and exposure level in Pro Mode.

Samsung has also made sharing a lot quicker and easier with the HyperFast 5G technology, letting users upload and download, live stream and game at rapid speeds. Quick Share, Samsung’s competitor for Apple’s AirDrop, will allow users to share files with up to five nearby contacts at the same time — no pairing required.

Boasting a powerful 7nm processor and up to 16GB of RAM, the Samsung Galaxy S20 series comes with built-in advanced AI and a quick launch allowing users to open their favorite apps instantly. The smartphones have an internal storage of up to 512GB, expandable to 1.5TB with a microSD. Its Infinity-O Display promises smooth video and fast touch response for superior and lag-eliminating gaming performance, and its impressive 120Hz refresh rate offers seamless scrolling. The models also feature ultrasonic fingerprint detection and water resistance of up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes.
