New Balance Drops Weatherized MW880 GORE-TEX in Rich Hazel Brown
Featuring a dual-foam TRUFUSE midsole.
New Balance has unveiled a rich hazel brown iteration of its 880 silhouette, treated with a waterproof GORE-TEX coating. The all-weather runner has been constructed with an ergonomically snug fit, slightly shedding away extra bulk you would see in a traditional GORE-TEX membrane without losing any of its utility.
“New Balance” branding is thinly etched at the top of the tongue in tiny black and yellow stripes, adding subtle accents to the shoe’s understated colorway. The forefoot sees tonal laces, complemented by smooth leather eyelet panels and ballistic mesh textiles around the toebox. At the heel counter, “NB” is stamped in black, above a small “GORE-TEX” tab that’s placed at the edge of the rear quarter panel, while the sidewalls have been woven with New Balance’s “N” logo. All of these details sit atop a speckled black TruFuse dual-foam midsole system, offering both durability and cushioning for maximum mileage.
The New Balance MW880 GORE-TEX “Brown” is currently available at atmos’ website for $136 USD.
