Raf Simons Unveils Monochromatic Smiley Intarsia Knit Sweaters
Marked with a subtle “R” embroidery.
Following the release of its 10th collaboration with Eastpak, Raf Simons is back with two brand new pieces from its seasonal lineup — monochromatic Smiley Intarsia Knit Sweaters. Much like the “RS” sweaters from back in August, this silhouette highlights the eponymous label’s signature cropped construction.
Made from supple virgin wool, the sweater comes in both black and white colorways. Apart from its distinctive high-cut crop at the waist, the silhouette has been built with a wide collar, dropped shoulders and broad cuffs. A large Smiley Intarsia motif is placed at the center of the sweater with a subtle tilt and has been shifted slightly to the left side of the body. In the middle of the motif’s right eye, Raf Simons’ cursive “R” logo sees a thin red embroidery, adding a nuanced accent to the black and white shades. As a finishing touch, the sweater comes with contrasting stitching at the seams to accentuate the silhouette’s drapey fit.
