Banoffee Taps SOPHIE and CupcakKe for Debut Album 'Look at Us Now Dad'
Listen to the avant-pop artist’s long-awaited project now.
Melbourne-originating singer-songwriter Banoffee, real name Martha Brown, has shared her long-awaited debut album Look at Us Now Dad. The emerging pop artist has for the past several years articulated her own blend of pop and R&B, bringing forth an array of electronic music that likens to the meticulous sonic blend of those like Charli XCX, Grimes, FKA Twigs, and more.
On Look at Us Now Dad — which clocks in at 14-tracks that span 39 minutes in length — Brown brings forth an eclectic amalgamation of glitchy pop music that meanders through a kaleidoscope of experimental sounds. On top of her own solo offerings, Brown has also bolstered her sound by means of Scottish DJ/producer SOPHIE and Chicago rapper cupcakKe, the two of which appear on standout single “Ripe.”
