Vans, the brand and global icon known for self-expression and breeding creativity, has announced the Vans Musicians Wanted global concert stream. The contest series will welcome its top finalists internationally from places like the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions to showcase a final live performance for the opportunity to win a major haul to jumpstart their career that includes Vans product, Fender gear, global music distribution, Spotify and Apple Music playlisting and the opportunity to share the stage with Vans Global Music Ambassador, Anderson .Paak.
Originally created by Vans’ Asia-Pacific region back in 2015, the Vans Musicians Wanted competition was introduced as a digital platform in 2020 that was open to all musicians and genres of music. With the expansion of the contest to a global stage this year, Vans Musicians Wanted received over 22,000 submissions. From the Americas region, the five finalists include 28-year old rapper and producer, Charlee Parker; female rock trio from Philly, Total Rubbish; Los Angeles-based hip-hop artists, Bando; Argentinian electro-pop group Lucia Tacchetti and Canadian hip-hop artist, $tik. The event will feature special guests as judges in the selection process, like Atlanta rapper J.I.D, Bohan Phoenix, who is featured in Vans’ latest brand campaign, European singer-songwriter Nilüfer Yanya and finally, Anderson .Paak.
