Nike's Customizable Air Force 1/1 Arrives In Vivid "Black/Chile Red/Pine Green"
Featuring a festive color scheme and more than a dozen customizable pieces.
After debuting in a classically-styled white, black and orange colorway, the customizable Nike Air Force 1/1 is set to release in a vivid “Black/Chile Red/Pine Green” makeup. With more than a dozen interchangeable pieces, the shoe can provide looks both muted and colorful — or even serve up a completely mismatched style, depending on its wearer’s whims.
This customizable ethos is enabled by the upper’s base layer, which is made entirely of a Velcro-like, “Chile Red”-colored material. A black multi-piece upper and black Swooshes come standard, but can either be removed to show the red base or, in the case of the Swooshes and heel tabs, swapped out for the included “Pine Green” embellishments. For an extra touch of detail the “Pine Green” heel tabs add “Uptown” branding, a nod to the sneaker’s famous New York moniker.
Detail doesn’t stop there however, as tongue patches are supplied in three styles: one with a Nike Sportswear graphic, the other with a simple Swoosh and the final in a circular shape with an AF-1 spellout. White midsoles and optional red laces complete the look, and the box’s Air Force 1 graphic is scribbled out to read “Air Force 1/1.”
The Nike Air Force 1/1 “Black/Chile Red/Pine Green” is available now at Japanese stockists like atmos. The MSRP is set at ¥15,500 JPY (approximately $149 USD).
