Taking on a Japanese inspiration.
Looking to start the new year off right, McDonald’s U.K. recently revealed its latest limited menu addition, “Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets.”
The British division of the fast-food giant took to Twitter to reveal its exciting new take on McNugget coming at the end of the month. The Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets comes as katsu curry, fried cutlet of pork or chicken served with Japanese curry roux and rice, has become widely popular all over Britain.
The Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets focuses on the “katsu” element breading the tender chicken morsels with a coating of Japanese-style panko breadcrumbs. Available for just six weeks after its December 30 launch date, each set of nuggets will come with a side of Sweet Curry Sauce.
Priced at £3.59, £4.09 and £5.99 GBP (approximately $4.80, $5.48 and $8 USD) respectively, the Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets are set to be available in six, nine and 20 piece sets from McDonald’s U.K. locations December 30.
