Lil Wayne Releases Emotion-Charged Visual for "2 Diamonds"
The famed rapper laments for a love lost.
This past November, Lil Wayne launched the third installment of his highly anticipated mixtape series called No Ceilings hosted by DJ Khaled. The project saw the famed New Orleans rapper freestyling over his biggest hits of the year including Lil Baby’s “We Paid,” Pop Smoke’s “For The Night” as well as Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later.”
Weezy now returns with an emotional new video for his “2 Diamonds” track — a different take on Young Thug’s 2019 single “Bad Bad Bad” that features Lil Wayne spewing intimate lyrics of a rocky relationship he had with his former lover. The visual stars Weezy alongside a ballet dancer whose movements evoke the artist’s intimate thoughts. She is observed in nightgown performing ballet on pointe and then later in a bedroom clad in black lingerie.
The Internet rumor mill counts that the track could be about his relationship with Denise Bidot, but the rapper didn’t relay any clues to the actual person he is lamenting over in the video. Nevertheless, check out Lil Wayne’s music video for “2 Diamonds” above and listen to No Ceilings 3: B Side on all streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music.
Elsewhere in music, a COVID-safe music festival has been successfully trialed in Barcelona, Spain.
