The Broken Arm and Salomon Reunite for Outdoors-Ready Outpro Matryx
Launching alongside an installation from Simon Laureyns.

Parisian retailer The Broken Arm has revealed its eight collaboration with Salomon, following up the forest-toned XA-Alpine Mid that arrived last month. For the new collaboration, The Broken Arm has taken on Salomon’s Outpro silhouette, with a focus on its hardwearing and outdoors heritage.
The inspiration for this collaboration came from The Broken Arm’s interest in how outdoor and trail items have become frequently used by artisans and artists. Referencing this, the boutique partnered with Belgian artist Simon Laureyns to create an installation inspired by the collaboration.
With an influence from the everyday, hardwearing nature of Salomon shoes, The Broken Arm’s collaborative sneaker is constructed from the patented Matryx material. This material — which is extra robust due to its denser weaving — is finished in an earthy and muted colorway of “Peat/Black/Purple Corallites.” The sneaker is then finished with a Gore-Tex membrane, Salomon’s quicklace system and a treaded rubber outsole.

In other footwear news, Salomon has also delivered new colors of its XT-6 ADV silhouette.
