For the first time in the company’s history, Razer‘s laptop department is departing from its usual practice of crafting high-performance gaming rigs, this time crafting a sleek, portable, and productive laptop instead for everyday use.

Made from a single block of aluminum and weighing less than 3lb, the new range of laptops are powered by 11th-Generation Intel Core i7 processors with speeds of up to 4.7GHz. Graphics come in the form of an Intel Iris Xe GPU, while RAM comes in at 16GB. The 13.4-inch screen will come in either a Full HD+ option or a UHD+ touchscreen, while other productivity bonuses include an HD webcam and four-mic array for enhanced Zoom calls, battery life of 14 hours, and a quick charge function that’ll provide four hours of usage after just 30 minutes plugged in.

“The new Razer Book 13 is the culmination of a decade’s worth of experience in developing and crafting high-end gaming machines,” says senior vice president and general manager Brad Wildes. “Sleek, powerful, and compact, the Razer Book 13 breaks out from the boring crowd and delivers prosumers an experience not yet realized in a work laptop.”

Starting at $1,200 USD, the Razer Book 13 range is now available for pre-order over on the company’s website.
