After releasing a ’90s-inspired capsule from the two brands earlier this year, Amsterdam-based Pop Trading Company has reunited with Converse CONS. The latest drop once again focuses on the Jack Purcell Pro sneaker, with a “JP Pro” Ox and Hi featuring in the release.

The sneaker comes in two colorways inspired by Pop Trading Company’s Fall/Winter 2020 apparel collection, while a range of design touches elevate the silhouette beyond its skate functionality. The key difference is the faux “Dragonskin” material used across the uppers, while Pop has also added a leather branded insole and its own logo appears in the silhouette’s “smile” shape.

To mark the launch, Pop Trading Company worked with director Patrick Louwerse to create a video that pokes fun at classic high fashion adverts. The short clip is a reference to the high-quality materials used on the skate silhouette, hoping to change views of how skate shoes should look and challenge the use of standardized materials.

The Pop Trading Company Jack Purcell Ox in dark purple and the Jack Purcell Hi in white will both release via the brand’s online store and Amsterdam flagship on November 17. A global release at select stockists will then follow on November 20.
