Marvel's 'WandaVision' Now Has a January 2021 Release Date
An official Disney+ synopsis previously stated that the series would debut before the end of 2020.
After promising a 2020 release in an official Disney+ synopsis this September, Disney has now slated WandaVision for a January 15, 2021 launch.
Gizmodo reports that Disney may have timed WandaVision’s release so as not to conflict with The Mandalorian, which is currently streaming, or its upcoming Pixar film Soul.
The official trailer for the series, which first debuted at the 2020 Emmys, finds Elizabeth Olson and Paul Bettany reprising their roles as Wanda Maximoff and Vision, but this time, the couple finds themselves living a simple suburban life — à la mid-century sitcoms like The Brady Bunch — which is soon revealed to be not-so-simple after all as the pair begin to question their reality.
In other news from Marvel-verse, Matthew McConaughey revealed the Marvel turned him down to play The Hulk — reportedly with a simple “no, thank you.”
