maharishi's 3M Chimayo Tabi Is an All-Black Head-Turner

maharishi has been in the tabi game for some time, and now for Fall/Winter 2020, the label has announced a new pair will be coming: the 3M Chimayo Tabi.
Based on the traditional Japanese “jika-tabi” style, this pair combines elements from the shoe’s origins alongside typical maharishi design elements. The result is nothing short of technical, streetwear-indebted, and avant-garde, thanks to its all-black murdered-out cotton upper, reflective 3M Chimayo print (which is styled after the geometric weaving patterns of vintage Chimayo blankets and shawls), and its techy sole unit.
maharishi has given the Chimayo Tabi an air-cushioned sole that is flexible, grippy, and works in tandem with the split-toe design to offer better agility, movement, and body realignment. The air cushion is exposed at the heel, which elevates the technical aesthetic further.
Velcro closure on the medial side-panel allows for an easy on-off wearing experience, while extra cotton padding on the toe and heel offer structural support and comfort enhancement.
