This LEGO Build Faithfully Recreates the Colosseum With 9,000 Pieces
The biggest LEGO figure so far.



LEGO is paying homage to the majesty of the Roman Colosseum with its latest model.
Built with a total of 9,036 bricks, this figure is the biggest LEGO model yet and is a faithful recreation of the world wonder. At three stories high, it stands at over 10.5 inches tall, 20.5 inches wide and 23.5 inches deep, and boasts of historical precision that showcases architectural details. History buffs can spot everything from the surviving archways to the columns of the Doric, Ionic and Corinthian orders, the walkway’s ancient travertine paving stones and olive trees, plus the hypogeum, which is the elaborate intricate structure found beneath the floor of the amphitheater.
The LEGO Colosseum build releases November 27 for approximately $550 USD on the LEGO webstore.
Elsewhere in design, the world’s largest pink diamond recently sold for a whopping $26.6 million USD.
