PANGAIA and Costa Brazil Team up to Help Preserve the Amazon Rainforest
All profits will go to bringing aid to the forest and its indigenous communities.
PANGAIA and Costa Brazil, an eco-friendly beauty line founded by Francisco Costa, have joined forces for a limited-edition capsule made to preserve the Amazon Rainforest and bring aid to its indigenous communities.
The assemblage includes hoodies made from recycled cotton and T-shirts produced from organic cotton in cream-colored palettes of white and stone. Commissioned by Francisco Costa, the back of each piece sports artwork by American artist Nick Theobald — a large sequence of the words “AMAZONIA FOREVER” taking up the upper half of the body. The front of the pieces is printed with a few tiny lines that nod to the capsule’s eco-conscious direction. Acknowledging the effects of climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic on the Amazon Rainforest and its inhabitants, PANGAIA and Costa Brazil will be donating all profits from the collection to Amazon Forever, “a campaign by Conservation International and BrazilFoundation to bring aid to the rural areas of the Amazon.”
PANGAIA and Costa Brazil’s limited-edition capsule will be available on October 22, 12 p.m. EDT on PANGAIA’s website, ranging from $55 – $150 USD.
