New Balance "Urban Islander" by SBTG and Limited Edt Offers Military-Indebted 327 and 900
SBTG’s signature aesthetic meets Singapore’s urban and paradise settings, presenting a 327 and 900 sandal covered in utilitarian elements.

New Balance has tapped SBTG and Limited Edt for a collaborative collection titled “Urban Islander,” paying homage to Singapore’s urban and paradise landscapes.
“Urban Islander” embodies Mark Ong‘s — aka Mr. Sabotage, SBTG — signature sneaker and clothing design aesthetic, and then combines this with the sensibilities of the sneaker boutique Limited Edt. With this in mind, the collaboration delivers a 327, a 900, socks, two T-shirts, a tote bag, and a towel in three colorways, each indebted to the collaborators’ signature approaches.
The standout piece in the collection is the collaborative pair of 327 sneakers. They feature a military-inspired upper, combining “Military Green” and black on the shoe’s upper. On the lateral, olive hairy suede is paired with black nylon and a tonal screen-printed “N” emblem, while the medial serves as a mismatched canvas for SBTG’s leopard camouflage and artwork.
A custom “Urban Islanders” tag runs down the tongue, while a custom tongue label and inserts, dual-branded lace tips, and debossed SBTG and Limited Edt branding around the shoe finishes off the pair.
Elsewhere we see the 900, a socks-and-sandals situation that draws influence from Singapore and the lead 327 sneaker. The pair is predominately brown, a color that has been used to highlight the adjustable hook and loop closure strap system. There’s a touch of print on the lateral side, which is joined by a plush footbed that’s nestled in a Ground Contact foam carrier and is surrounded by rubber trims that form a durable outsole.
The New Balance “Urban Islander” collaboration by SBTG and Limited Edt will launch on October 15 exclusively at Limited Edt CHAMBER, the sneaker store’s website, and on SBTG’s website. Take a closer look at the lookbook above.
