Hasbro's Upcoming 'Power Rangers' Reboot Will Be Both a Film and TV Series
Looking to establish a connected story universe through multiple platforms.
Since securing Power Rangers franchise from Saban back in 2018, Hasbro has been planning a reboot of the series based on Japan’s tokusatsu pioneer Super Sentai produced by Toei Company with Bandai and aired by TV Asahi.
According to reports, despite the 2017 box office failure produced and released by Lionsgate that rebooted the title, Hasbro has ambitious plans. Reports note that Jonathan Entwistle of The End of the F***ing World and I’m Not Okay With This has been tapped to direct both a film and TV series for Hasbro’s eOne entertainment company. Entwistle will be tasked with adapting both the big screen and small screen iterations that will serve to establish a connected story universe through multiple platforms.
