'Ghost of Tsushima's Online Co-Op Multiplayer and New Game Plus Arrive This Month
Coming via the free “Version 1.1” update.
Originally announced in August, Sucker Punch Productions has released a trailer for its upcoming Ghost of Tsushima co-op mode coming via its Version 1.1 patch. The patch will come in the form of a free update for existing players on PlayStation 4 that add many anticipated features and quality of life improvements, such as the ability to create various load-outs and New Game+.
Ghost of Tsushima Legends will bring a new online co-op mode that will allow up to four players to progress in a story mode separate from the single-player experience that debut new characters and enemies based on Japanese mythology. The new online missions are accessible through the Legends lobby via the pause menu or track down a new in-game character named Gyozen the storyteller. The mode also includes its own trophies, cosmetics, and gears that are unlocked through gameplay progression.
The 1.1 patch will add New Game+ to the single-player story of Ghost of Tsushima, which allows players to restart the game with a new game and all their previous gear, charms, and abilities. This mode will also introduce new trophies and armor load-outs.
All this and more will arrive in the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima Legends 1.1 patch slated to arrive on October 16.
In other gaming news, the PlayStation 5 in Japan will swap the use of X and Circle buttons.
