The Air Jordan 5 "What The" Combines Elements from Eight Separate Colorways
The striking mash-up take on the beloved model is almost here.

Standing out amongst this year’s celebrations for the 30th-anniversary of the Air Jordan 5, Jordan Brand has put together a “What The” colorway for the beloved footwear model. Paying respects to past designs, the mash-up take draws elements from eight separate colorways. The Air Jordan 5 “What The” includes details from the “Tokyo,” “Shanghai,” “Raging Bull,” “Bel-Air,” “Laser,” “Green Bean,” “Army Olive” and “Quai 54” looks.
Coming through with yellow and red mismatched uppers, the heels come marked with a Kanji character and medallion embroidery take from the “Tokyo” and “Shanghai” colorways. While the graphic linings are taken from the Air Jordan 5 “Bel-Air” and “Laser,” and 3M reflective tongues come from the “Laser” and “Green Bean.” Elevating the shoe are sole units drawn from the bottom of the “Bel-Air” and “Quai 54.”
Priced at $220 USD, the Air Jordan 5 Retro “What The” is set to release November 7.
