Leatherface Comes to 'Call of Duty: Warzone's "Haunting Of Verdansk" in New Trailer
Alongside Billy the Puppet from ‘Saw.’
Activision has released a new Call of Duty: Warzone trailer promoting its upcoming “The Haunting of Verdansk” Halloween event, where it’s slated to introduce a nighttime version of Verdansk, Zombie Royale mode, skins, and more.
Skins featuring Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Billy the Puppet from Saw will be available in-game. Modes like trio will be available to play at night and there will also be environmental changes that come alongside it.
According to Activision: “Some say that a ventriloquist doll frequently appears on television sets tuned to defunct channels, and the poltergeist of a chainsaw-wielding killer can be seen and heard across the Krovnik Farmland. The blog post continues: “Others claim that the defunct tracks near the Train Station are still in use by a ghost train, a vessel filled with souls of those who lost their lives fighting in the Gulag…” A new “trick-or-treat” reward system will also be implemented, which features supply boxes that hold “frights or … blueprints and personalization items.”
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will also receive an update that introduces new Halloween modes and aesthetics. For example, a mechanic for players that get three kills without dying will have their heads turn into jack-o-lanterns. The pumpkinhead will be set aflame if that player earns a ten-kill streak, effectively becoming a target for the opposition.
Call of Duty‘s “Haunting Of Verdansk” begins October 20 and lasts until November 3.
