After weeks of build-up, Conor McGregor is set to make his highly-anticipated return to MMA against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone at UFC 246 this week. Ahead of the sell-out event, the UFC hosted a press that saw the two fighters answer questions from media and face-off ahead of their Welterweight bout.

With UFC President Dana White mediating the conference, the media unsurprisingly showed a focus on the Irish fighter’s return to the Octagon after a 15-month absence. Aside from discussing his thoughts about his opponent, “The Notorious” was prompted several times to talk about the changes he has made following his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov and recent legal run-ins. McGregor’s trouble with the law was glanced over a few times and was even met with boos from the fans in attendance. Throughout the conference “Cowboy” chose to highlight how excited he and McGregor are to meet in the Octagon and silence those that have oversimplified the match up.

The two fighters kept it amicable throughout the conference, unlike their first verbal spat at a press conference a while back and a far cry from the past showings Conor McGregor has delivered. Known for his sharp attire, McGregor even complimented his opponent on his bespoke contemporary western outfit crafted by designer Hussein Dalla, which generated a fun moment before the fight. To round up the UFC 246 press conference, McGregor and “Cowboy” faced off revealing the intensity and focus from the two fighters.

In case you missed it, Conor McGregor recently revealed he wants a rematch with Floyd Mayweather and there have been talks of a fight with Manny Pacquiao.
