Available in both the footwear imprint’s heritage “Checkerboard” print and a canvas “True Navy/Red” colorway, the sneaker is the lovechild of two of Vans’ most iconic skateboarding-indebted silhouettes. Its base is formed of the Slip-On, featuring a one-piece canvas upper that is lined with moisture-wicking materials and sits atop of the original hardwearing, vulcanized rubber sole unit.
Inside you’ll find Vans’ ComfyCush technology, while on the outside, you’ll notice the unmissable addition of a full, clear-cased Old Skool covering the Slip-On inside. The casing is made from a synthetic Feelmax material that has been focused on areas such as the tongue to provide stabilization, working alongside the inner shoe to bring it together as one hybrid offering.
White laces, a contrast-color running stripe and a red license plate round out both pairs. Check out the Vans Slip-Skool in the gallery above, and pick up your favorite from Vans stores and Van’s online store for $75 USD each.
