For the second drop of its Spring/Summer 2020 capsule collection, Y-3 is set to release a new range of apparel and accessories that celebrate the adventurous spirit of “global nomads.” Bringing sophistication to a mobile lifestyle, the latest range merges comfort with meeting-ready style as a way to explore the “non-stop nature of contemporary society.”
Inspired by the theme of travel, the latest drop features jackets, vests, shirts and pants constructed with lightweight packable materials and non-creasing fabrics. Hidden pockets, strap detailing and heightened packability highlights the products’ movement and functionality. Continuing with the collection’s globe-trotting designs, varying sizes of travel bags are comprised of foldable and water-resistant fabrics. The collection’s monochromatic color palette allows the apparel and accessories to be worn interchangeably for increased ease and wear.
A highlight of the range is the Y-3 REHITO, a new footwear style that brings elevated comfort to an ultra-lightweight silhouette. The clean dual-layer mesh upper contrasts with dramatic forefoot tooling, while leather details finish off the look. Travel-ready footwear receives a premium upgrade as Yohji Yamamoto design is brought to a contemporary, on-the-go context.
Expect Y-3’s second drop to go live January 16 on adidas’ website, at Y-3 flagship stores and at select retailers worldwide.
