'Lightning Magazine' Taps Danner Archives for 8068 Boot Release
Taking it back to 1979.
Lightning Magazine digs deep into the Danner archives for a special collaborative release on the bootmaker‘s iconic 8068 silhouette.
Limited to 200 pieces, this decommissioned model from 1979 sees a taller cut of 8 inches rather than Danner’s more modern 6-inch cut — this is what the staff at Lightning Magazine call the “Golden Ratio” when it comes to boot height and pant leg roll height.
The boot also sees Horween Leather construction mixed with Cordura, full GORE-TEX lining, a fiberglass shank, and a Vibram “Kletterlift” outsole.
