Ty Dolla $ign and Thundercat Perform a Tiny Desk Tribute to Mac Miller

When Ty Dolla $ign stopped by the NPR headquarters to record his own Tiny Desk set, he was informed that August 8 marked the one-year anniversary of Mac Miller’s Tiny Desk performance.
A frequent collaborator and friend of Miller, Dolla $ign, alongside Thundercat on bass and Justus West on guitar — both of whom played with Mac a year ago for the Tiny Desk concert — delivered a moving impromptu performance in honor of the Pittsburg legend.
Ty performed a moving version of his 2016 collaboration with the late rapper, “Cinderella” from Mac’s fourth studio album, The Divine Feminine.
