Maison Margiela Paints This Bonded Topcoat With a Massive Flamingo Print

Maison Margiela flare for the dramatics and ostentatious are still very much alive and well. Nothing leans more into this philosophy than the new Mélange Bonded Topcoat that comes styled with a giant flamingo on the back.
Creative Director John Galliano‘s longtime motif has been flamboyant, jester-filled and humorous. This grey topcoat, created in collaboration with Mackintosh, builds on that with a multicolored, abstract twill on the back that features the tropical bird, something you’ll see throughout the house’s FW19 collection. The coat also includes a point collar, throat latch, belt in the back, welted side pockets, and ventilation grommets under the arms.
