Drôle de Monsieur FW19 Delivers Plush Textiles and Louche Layers
Rich with bright colors and comfortable essentials.
French label Drôle de Monsieur returns for Fall/Winter 2019 with a color-saturated array of slouchy seasonal layering pieces. Corduroy, fleece and velvet grant the louche looks an air of je ne sais quoi, with plenty of sporty touches elevating the baggy track suits and oversized hoodies.
Plentiful branding accompanies the brand’s signature “NOT FROM PARIS MADAME” slogan, which graces both sides of the color-blocked waterproof anoraks and nylon pullovers. Plaid shirts and tailored trousers lend the styling a whiff of European suit styling, playfully undermined by knit beanies, plush rugby shirts and quietly elevated sweatsuits, the latter of which sport technical pulls and unconventional patch pockets. Classic hoodies and track pants reaffirm the youthful inclination, while corduroy pullover shirts and slacks deliver a lighthearted elderly feel.
