Chicago-born artist Ryan Travis Christian specializes in creating graphite artworks that portray surrealist drawings of childish cartoons with often sinister messages. RTC will be the subject of a new solo exhibition at New York City’s Ross+Kramer Gallery, slated to display a new selection of works as part of the installment called “DANGER IS MY MAIDEN NAME.” Altogether, the artist heavily draws inspiration from vintage political cartoons and hand-drawn animation across his detailed vignettes.

The exhibition will launch on September 10 alongside an impending collaboration between Ryan Travis Christian and Case Studyo. Stay tuned for details.

Elsewhere in art, RTC recently took part in a series of limited edition beach towels helmed by gallery owner Selenas Mountain.
