RM Sotheby’s will dispatch a bevy of rare supercars at its upcoming auction during Monterey Car Week in California. One of its most rare selections is a McLaren F1 in LM-Specification — just one of two in existence. For those who aren’t familiar with the model, McLaren upgraded the standard F1 road car to this specification that boasts the unrestricted 680-horsepower GTR spec. In addition, a high downforce kit was implemented alongside a wider rear wing, a different nose, and front fender vents. Other touches include 17-inch wheels, the addition of two radiators as well as a modified exhaust system.

This F1 has 13,352 miles on the odometer, and it has received a complete written history and evaluated by MSO. Although there aren’t any pre-sale estimates on the price of the vehicle, it will surely nab millions at the RM Sotheby’s auction to take place this August 15-17. Peep the rare supercar above and let us know your thoughts.

#NEWS: THE WORLD’S MOST REVERED MODERN SUPERCAR IS COMING TO MONTEREY! . We’ve revealed our final entry – a 1994 McLaren F1 ‘LM-Specification’. . Serial no. 018 is 1 of just 2 cars upgraded by McLaren to Le Mans specifications, equipped with the unrestricted GTR racing engine good for 680hp and also featuring an extra high-downforce package above and beyond the coachwork effects of the original five LM cars. . 018 is one of the most ferocious of the F1 iterations, finished in arguably the most desirable color combo – stunning platinum silver metallic paint over a cream leather interior with beige and brown Alcantara. . Coming to auction following 12 years of ownership, the car has been used on a handful of tours and rallies, shows just 21,500 km, and has been fastidiously cared for by MSO. . Incredibly powerful and rare, 018 is even “estimated to have more downforce than the Le Mans winning 1995 GTR racecar”, according to MSO. Don’t miss your chance to bid on the best imaginable iteration of an already perfect machine. . See more and register at RMSothebys.com/MO19!
