Here's How Player Ratings for 'Madden NFL 20' Are Decided
Meet the Madden Rating Adjusters team.
Madden NFL 20 is one of the premier sports games in the world and with that comes intense scrutiny on the player ratings. ESPN went to EA’s Madden Rating Adjusters to look at how the ratings are determined. The short documentary looks at the team, which includes Deion Sanders’s son Barry and former NFL player Clint Oldenburg, and the shift the game underwent since it introduced weekly ratings in 2009.
The doc also details a shift in how the team worked, moving from making decisions in office to attending games and watching players practice. The shift came after Leonard Fournette was annoyed at his player rating and demanded the adjuster team watch him play so they could change their minds. Watch the documentary above to see just how the player ratings are changed.
