Showtime Drops Teaser & Release Date for Rick Rubin Documentary 'Shangri-La'
Take a first look at the impact of the legendary producer.
Showtime has released a first look at the Rick Rubin documentary, Shangri-La. The minute-long teaser opens with a calming visual of ocean waves — referring to Rubin’s Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California. Half-second shots of the famed studio’s interior and exterior, recording equipment and artists such as Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea create a short montage as a rushed preview of who will most likely appear in the four-part series. The Rubin phrase “Keep asking questions until you fully understand,” appear in between these shots, ending with a bright yellow title card placed above an overview of the ocean.
