UPDATE (June 14, 2019): Netflix has just shared a new spot for Dark season 2, this time taking a closer look at the harrowing journey of the show’s hero. The new episodes will see Jonas Kahnwald traveling through different time periods, and ultimately trying to go back to the start of when all the mysterious disappearances began to prevent them from happening again.

The Dark Trilogy continues with season 2 on June 21, only on Netflix.

UPDATE (June 7, 2019): Netflix has just shared a new clip for the second season of Dark.

Dubbed “Mystery,” the visuals give viewers a closer look at all the unexplainable time travel that has been going on in the small German town of Winden. Running at just under one-minute in length, the trailer is intercut with scenes spanning various time periods including 1986, 1953, 2019, and an apocalypse future set in 2052.

Take a look at the new clip above and the official trailer below.

In more entertainment news, Netflix confirmed fifth and final Lucifer season.

Original Story (June 3, 2019): In April, Netflix confirmed the second season of Dark would be returning in June to the delight of many fans.

Now the streaming network has released a full-length trailer giving ecstatic viewers a look at what’s to come in the new episodes; and it looks to be a lot creepier and even more supernatural than its first season. Coming in at just under two-minutes, the cryptic visuals see protagonist Jonas (Louis Hofmann) trying to fix the errors of his hometown of Winden (a small town in Germany) as he’s thrust into a dystopian future. The trailer even reveals the occult priest Noah (Mark Waschke), who is on a mission to manipulate the space/time realm to bring upon the apocalypse.

Additionally, Netflix confirmed season 2 will act as the second cycle of Jonas’ journey and the series will be divided into a trilogy. Dark season 3 is expected to release in 2020. Check out the trailer above and official synopsis below:

“When two children go missing in a small German town, its sinful past is exposed along with the double lives and fractured relationships that exist among four families as they search for the kids. The mystery-drama series introduces an intricate puzzle filled with twists that includes a web of curious characters, all of whom have a connection to the town’s troubled history — whether they know it or not. The story includes supernatural elements that tie back to the same town in 1986.”

Shot and produced in Germany, this foreign gem of a series returns to Netflix on June 21. The original season made its 10-episode debut on December 1, 2017.

In more entertainment news, these are the must-see movies and TV shows premiering in June.
