Rick Owens Unveils Its Latest Set of Sculpted Sunglasses
Bolstered with Japanese Memory Flex™ nylon.
Last week, Rick Owens presented its eyewear campaign, offering a glimpse of a series of thick-framed shades. One silhouette featured among the looks was the “Larry Rick.” This model, with its laser-etched frames and bulky, sculpture-like shape, is one of the latest pieces that’s been released.
Clad in palettes of grey, black, white and transparent, its rectangular frames are made from Japanese nylon Memory Flex™. Each of the six colorways comes with lenses that hold a distinct tint, like the Grey & Black Larry Rick Sunglasses, with 100% UV protected black lenses. An angular dip is seen from the top bar to the bridge, while the inner arms are detailed with Rick Owens branding. One standout piece is the transparent colorway that sees a clear body with mirrored silver-toned lenses. In addition, all of the shades are coupled with a magnetic soft grained leather case that’s also logo-embossed.
Coming in colors of “Grey & Black,” “Black,” “Black & Silver,” “White & Silver,” “White & Black” and “Transparent & Silver,” the sunglasses are currently available on SSENSE’s website for $680 USD.
