Powell-Peralta Releases Six Original Bones Brigade Skate Videos
Featuring icons such as Tony Hawk, Lance Mountain and Stacy Peralta.
Historic skateboarding imprint Powell-Peralta has released the six famous videos featuring its Bones Brigade riders from the 1980s on its YouTube channel.
The Bones Brigade includes skateboarding icons such as Steve Caballero, Mike McGill, Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen, Lance Mountain, Per Welinder and the label’s founder Stacy Peralta. The six videos are scheduled to drop weekly and will see the team work its favorite spots throughout the U.S. in a series of full-length and chapter-styled educational videos.
The series originally aimed to provide new skaters with an insight into what loyal riders were getting up to between 1979 and 1983, initiating a skating boom in a relatively unexplored sport. Starting with “The Bones Brigade Video Show,” a 35-minute-long showcase of super slow-mo tricks, “new moves” and freestyles from the likes of Hawk and Mountain, the series will continue for five weeks.
Upcoming videos include “Future Primitive,” “Ban This,” “Public Domain”, “Propaganda” and “The Search For Animal Chin,” which will each respectively drop every Wednesday from May 15 to June 19.
