Valee's Flow Is Maliciously Subtle on New Single "You & Me Both"
Produced by ChaseTheMoney.
Chicago-bred rapper Valee undoubtedly hosts one of the most unique deliveries in the hip-hop and rap game. After delivering his 2018 hit “Womp Womp” featuring Jeremih, one of our top songs of 2018, the artist has returned with a brand new ChaseTheMoney-produced single titled “You & Me Both.” Delivering his vocals effortlessly, the rapper’s sound operates in an almost contradictory manner – his voice is soft and delicate, while at the same time his flow remains menacing and hard-hitting. The beat equally maintains such sensibilities – it’s a brawling trap instrumental yet the psychedelic synth offers a softer touch that rings well with Valee’s idiosyncratic approach. It’s filled with equally well-placed, side-chained melodies, with the Chicago rapper belting out “I bought Gucci not for me, but for you and me both.”
