Studio INI & A/D/O to Launch Cocoon-Like Installation That Interacts With Visitors
An entirely analog structure.

A/D/O by MINI will soon launch an immersive installation entitled Urban Imprint by Studio INI — a multifaceted collective founded by designer and engineer, Nassia Inglessis. The sprawling artwork will fill the Brooklyn creative space’s outdoor courtyard, transforming the space into a cocoon-like environment that interacts with visitors. The large-scale piece is completely analog with the usage of cutting-edge software to make the installation responsive.
“I wanted to explore what it would look like to create a more symbiotic and ‘natural’ relationship between us and our built environment. In nature, the human self is both part of an ecosystem and an architect of the constructed space,” explained Inglessis to A/D/O.
On view during New York City’s NYCxDesign festival, the installation will officially launch on May 17 through the summer. Head over to A/D/O’s website to learn more.
