Loyle Carner is Unarmed in Newest Album 'Not Waving, But Drowning'
With guest features from Jorja Smith, Sampha, Jordan Rakei, Tom Misch & more.

South London-born MC Loyle Carner has dropped off his sophomore album Not Waving, But Drowning. Offering warm piano loops on top of snares and high-hats, the Mercury Prize nominee’s storytelling approach continues to impress as he touches on familiar topics of family, rough friendships and his constant struggle to grasp the fame that comes with his talent. Carner shares the record’s radiance with the likes of Sampha on “Desoleil (Brilliant Corners),” Jorja Smith on “Loose Ends,” Jordan Rakei on “Ottolenghi,” frequent collaborator Tom Misch on “Angel” and his mother on the closing track “Dear Ben.”
