Fresh off an appearance on Flume’s Hi This Is Flume mixtape, JPEGMAFIA serves up a new single of his own, “The Who.” JPEGMAFIA’s latest record is a collaboration with a fellow artist and singer known as Eyas, and was created during the same recording and studio sessions that birthed JPEGMAFIA’S critically-acclaimed 2018 album Veteran.

“There’s an innocence to it that I hope is relatable to people,” JPEGMAFIA shares via an official statement. “I made the beat naked.”

“There’s a lot of us who have been making beats and making music for a long time and never gotten recognition for it, even when we were doing it for a long time,” JPEGMAFIA told Billboard last year, opening up about the personal and creative motivations that fueled the Veteran process. “I been making music since I was 14 years old. I’m 28. So in my eyes, even though people have just really been introduced to me this year, I been grinding since then and I’ve really genuinely been trying since at least I was 18. So for me, I’m a veteran of making music. Like I’ve been making music for a long f*cking time. The way I make music, I know what I’m doing, because I been doing this for so long. This is the only thing I’m good at. So I’m a veteran in that sense and I’m literally like a United States veteran.”
