Panerai's Submersible Bronzo Is for the Modern Day Hero
161 grams of heavy metal.
Continuing the success of its bronze watch collection which debuted in 2011, Panerai adds to the family with the newest Panerai Submersible Bronzo. Noted as a heavy-duty professional dive watch designed “for modern heroes, the watch learns from its successful predecessors and incorporates many features that the bronze series has proved worthy over the last eight years.
Constructed with a 47mm solid bronze case attached to natural leather straps and a titanium buckle — a military green rubber strap is also included for work in the sea — the deep brown dial is complimented perfectly by a micro-sandblasted brown ceramic disk on the unidirectional rotating bezel. As a professional diving watch, the Submersible Bronzo is water-resistant up to a whopping 300m (30 bar). All indicators are perfectly visible even in a pitch black environment, and the seconds hand at the 9 o’clock position works as an indicator that the watch is in working order. The P.9010 Manufacture caliber, wound by a bidirectional oscillating weight, holds a power reserve of three days and can be admired through the sapphire porthole on the caseback.
The Panerai Submersible Bronzo is now available only at Panerai boutiques, its online store, or the Panerai WeChat boutique. The unit will set you back $16,500 USD.
