Huawei Officially Reveals P30 and P30 Pro With Leica Quad Camera
Two new models that Huawei says will “rewrite the rules” of camera phones.
Huawei has announced the P30 and P30 Pro smartphone at its #RewriteTheRules event alongside its smart glasses series today in Paris. The P30 Pro features a Leica Quad Camera, which employs a 40-megapixel wide-angle lens, 20MP ultra-wide lens, and 8MP telephoto lens alongside a Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera.
The standard P30 has no ToF camera, however, each model utilizes a 32MP front-facing camera with enhanced bokeh effects that grant the ability to detail strands of human hair in its photos. Additionally, Huawei’s new “SuperZoom Lens” technology will allow for high fidelity magnification of up to 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, and 50x digital zoom.
The P30 Pro showcases a 6.47-inch OLED display, up to 8GB of RAM, and 512GB storage. Meanwhile, the standard P30 exhibits a relatively smaller 6.1-inch OLED display, up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
According to The Verge, each model is available now outside the United States starting at €999 EUR (approximately $1,125 USD) and €799 EUR (approximately $900 USD), respectively, in black, Breathing Crystal Blue, Pearl White, Amber Sunrise Red, and Huawei’s signature Aurora.
