Nike's LeBron 9 "Watch the Throne" Sample Emerges in Gold
“You belong in vintage clothes crushing the whole building.”
Back in 2011, Nike Basketball crafted a special edition of LeBron James‘ ninth signature sneaker to celebrate the Watch The Throne tour. The special homage to JAY-Z and Kanye West saw a mixture of black with gold foil accents and floral patterns–a nod to some of Givenchy‘s designs at the time–on the laces and inner lining.
With word circulating that the WTT theme is making its way onto the current Nike LeBron 16, a new sample colorway of the aforementioned LB9 has emerged. Much of the design accents are still there, including those floral hits and a glow-in-the-dark sole, however this version swaps a black base for a predominately gold look.
