Netflix Pays Respect to Black Legends in New 'Strong Black Lead Podcast' Series

Netflix’s “A Great Day in Hollywood” initiative formed Strong Black Leads, which is now spinning off into a podcast series called Strong Black Legends, honoring and showcasing Hollywood legends of color, hosted by writer Tracy Clayton.
In the teaser above, we see talents like Lynn Whitfield (A Thin Line Between Love and Hate), Garrett Morris (Martin), John Witherspoon (Friday), and more guests that’ll appear throughout the season receiving actual flowers in honor. The actors also unearth more than a few untold stories and career-defining moments in their lives.
Strong Black Leads podcast launches February 12 during Black History Month on iTunes.
In other entertainment news, Kevin Hart will debut a Guide to Black History special on Netflix.
