Maison Mihara Yasuhiro's Latest Sandal Is Part Snowboard Binding
Two seasons in one.

Maison Mihara Yasuhiro continues to create inventive takes on classic footwear silhouettes. Building off its recent Melting Skate Slip-Ons, this new summertime offering sees parts of a snowboard binding mixed in with a sandal.
The bonded jersey sandals have a thick-padded ankle strap that replaces the snowboard’s ratchet-tightening system with a press-release buckle. The toe and slingback strap are secured via Velcro material — for a total number of three straps. Finishing off the sandals is a lush leather footbed, a “MMY” logo tag, and full-transparent cushioning around the entire outsole.
Those looking to cop these in time for Spring/Summer can head on over to SSENSE where they retail for $445 USD.
In other footwear news, Balenciaga’s Chrystal Mules are derby shoes turned into sandals.
