The Spoiler-Heavy Final Trailer for 'Devil May Cry 5' Signals the End of an Era
‘Devil May Cry 5’ releases March 8.
Capcom’s final Devil May Cry 5 trailer is heavy with spoilers, as it hypes the upcoming release of the title and signals what many believe to be the end of “The Sons of Sparta” saga. The game is set 10 years after the events of Devil May Cry 4 in a world that’s forgotten the looming demonic presence that once threatened it.
Now that an invasion has begun and a demon tree is taking root in Red Grave City, newcomer V hires Dante to help him subdue a certain figure that’s surfaced as a result. Meanwhile Nero, now without his demonic arm, is headed in the same direction alongside his Devil May Cry demon-killing partner Nico to investigate and settle things.
We also see a small glimpse of Dante’s brother Virgil, and a flashback of their mother Eva before her demise. Many speculate Virgil will once again become a playable character but nothing has been confirmed so far. What has been confirmed, however, is that the will have no foreseeable DLC apart from its free Bloody Palace content, as well as the content that comes with the purchase of a Deluxe Edition of the game.
Check out the footage above, and pull the trigger on Devil May Cry 5 when it releases March 8 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
