Cardi B Reactivates IG Account to Announce New Bruno Mars Single
Following backlash from her GRAMMY win.
Cardi B has experienced a turbulent week thus far, coming off of a high from winning Best Rap Album at this year’s GRAMMYs to fighting off a slew of haters on social media. After deactivating her Instagram account following the backlash from her GRAMMY win on Sunday night, the songstress has returned to the social media platform in full force to announce a new forthcoming single with Bruno Mars.
“Ok so I’m back from retirement to announce I have a brand new song coming out Friday at midnight with @brunomars. # twogrammywinningartist,” she captioned the post. The two artist previously teamed up on a remix of Mars’ “Finesse” off his 24K Magic EP. Cardi B even joined Mars during his 24k Magic World Tour last summer, however had to pull out because she needed to recover from giving birth to her daughter Kulture, who is fathered by Migos star Offset.
Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy won a GRAMMY for Best Album beating out the likes of Pusha T’s DAYTONA, Mac Miller’s Swimming and Travis Scott’s Astroworld. Fans and industry colleagues have since defended her on her win including Lady Gaga and Chance The Rapper.
