Every Starfighter in Star Wars Explained By Lucasfilm
By duo Doug Chiang and Amy Beth Christenson.
With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker now being shown across select theaters around the world, the creatives over at WIRED have put together an informative video that breaks down every starflighter in the beloved sci-fi fantasy saga.
Featured in the video are Doug Chiang, V.P. and Executive Creative Director of Lucasfilms, and Amy Beth Christenson, Art Director of Lucasfilms, who break down and explain each and every type of starfighter from the small to the more combat-focused designs. The pair even go on to answer a few questions that have been on the minds of many fans such as why the “snout” of the X-Wing is so pronounced and or why the Y-Wing’s paneling is so bare? Check out the video above to get more insight.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits American cinemas this Friday, December 20.
