Blondey McCoy Re-Releases Alternate Colorway of adidas Originals Superstar (UPDATE)
Limited to 200 pairs.
UPDATE (December 28, 2019): After releasing the translucent Autre Superstar on Boxing Day, it appears that bots made their way to THAMES’ webstore and purchased about 50 of the limited edition pairs. In an effort to rectify the situation, Blondey McCoy took to Instagram to announce that he and his team have manually vetted all of the orders and will void the ones made by bots. They have also upgraded their site to prevent automated purchases in the future and will re-release the unfulfilled pairs on January 8th at THAMES’ online shop.
ORIGINAL STORY (December 25, 2019):
After introducing his adidas Originals collaboration earlier this month, Blondey McCoy is now gearing up for the release of an alternate colorway of his take on the classic Superstar model.
Limited to 200 pairs, the alternate take is centered around a transparent black-tinged polyurethane upper accented by matching three-stripes panels and black leather on the tongue, ankle collar and lace panels. Branding elements come in the form of an adidas Originals label on the tongue, Trefoil logo at the rear and “BLONDEY” done in gold along the Three Stripes at the midfoot. Elevating the shoe is a dark brown rubber cupsole paired with a matching toe cap.
The alternate colorway of the Blondey Mccoy x adidas Originals Superstar will be available 11 a.m. GMT exclusively on the THAMES webstore.
