Following the release off his Lil Skate For President EP this past summer, Reese LaFlare has released his sophomore album Final Fantasy via LaFlare Records/Empire. As is evident, the project’s title is an ode to the rapper’s favorite video game and continues to showcase his love for music, movies, and pop culture during his childhood. The project equally features appearances from Vory and YSL Duke.
The release follows the Atlanta’s rapper recent Kill Bill-inspired video for album highlight “Hol’ Up,” and is the second full-length following last year’s eponymous debut. Throughout the project, LaFlare continues to highlight his Atlantan origins, whereby various hits employ riotous trap sensibilities alongside more R&B centric cuts like “Masquerade.”
